Applicability
- Suspected cardiac tamponade; during positive-pressure ventilation the mitral-inflow variation criteria do not apply.
- Regional tamponade (loculated effusion or hematoma, often post-operative) may lack the typical signs and is not captured by the standard criteria.
- NextIs a pericardial effusion present (any size), and is it circumferential or loculated?Record whether an effusion is present and its distribution.
